Women should definitely incorporate weight training.

There are exceptional benefits of incorporating weight training for all women.

  1. Reduces risk of Arthritis, osteoporosis (by improving bone density), age-related ‘Sarcopenia’ and also reduces our chances for injuries.
  2. Helps burn more fat by improving our Resting metabolic Rate. (When compared to Cardio alone)
  3. Better body composition.
  4. Improved overall strength and also for daily chores.
  5. Helps reduce anxiety (any form of exercise including cardio has shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety)

Also, women do not get as bulky as men simply due to a different hormonal profile. Women have fairly low ‘testosterone’ as compared to Men which is thought to be a great driving factor for hypertrophy.

You can do both strength training and cardio but do not skip training because of misinformation!
